I LOVE Halloween! The decorations, the costumes, the movies, the treats, the tricks….it is all so much fun! The past few years Luke and I haven’t dressed up and gone out but I dress up every year for work. I mean why wouldn’t I put on a onesie, bring a blanket & bottle, and pretend I am a baby? Talk about a comfy day at work! I have my costume for this year on the way and I am hoping it fits because I love it! This year we are taking Sunny to Spookyville at the fairgrounds. We went last year and she had a lot of fun! Now let’s get into some Halloween favorites…
Favorite DIY Decorations: There are soooo many options when it comes to decorating for Halloween. You can go with a color scheme, a scary movie motif, a pumpkin theme, witch theme, the possibilities are endless. These easy Halloween crafts are very cute & creative not to mention make decorating fun for everyone in the family.
Favorite Halloween Manicures: You know I can’t do a holiday favorites post without including festive manicures. You can go cute, scary, or gory. I am a scary kind of girl. I saw some of the gory nails and they are good for a costume but I wouldn’t want to walk around with zombie looking nails!
Favorite Spooky Cocktails: I always dream when the time comes for me to have a house that I will throw fabulous holiday parties and with those parties will come a signature cocktail. These 20 ideas are fabulous options that not only look festive but sound delish.
Favorite Door Decor: In the past few years I have seen so many cool front door decorations. Some of them are so elaborate and amazing! They are great for people, like me, who don’t have a yard to decorate but still want to have some festive outdoor decor.
Favorite Last Minute Costumes: I don’t know about you but I am no longer a fan of spending $50+ on a Halloween costume. Back in college I would spend an obscene about of money on a costume that had very little to it but those days are long gone. Now when I have to dress up I try and find things around the house I can make into a costume. So many of these 50+ last minute Halloween costumes are great and easy to do!
Favorite Outdoor Decorations: There are some people that go ALL OUT when it comes to decorating for Halloween and some of these 64 Best DIY Halloween Outdoor Decorations are awesome! I wish there was an app (and there might be for all I know) that shows you all the best decorated houses in your area. I would be driving all over to look at them!
Favorite Festive Food: From zombie boogers to eyeball pasta to sand witches, there are some great Halloween food ideas out there. They are perfect for a party or just to make your child’s lunch spooky.
Favorite Make-Up Ideas: Anytime I see a video on Facebook of someone doing crazy make up I have to stop and watch. It takes such talent to be able to do intricate make-up especially for Halloween costumes. Looking through these 85 Most Jaw-Dropping Halloween Makeup Ideas on Instagram was fun. I was impressed with so many of them!
Favorite Mantel Decor: If you have a fireplace mantel and you don’t decorate it for every holiday shame on you! There are so many cute things you can do!! Here are just some examples of awesome mantel ideas. Happy decorating!!
