Friday Favorites

TGIF!!! This week was pretty uneventful in the Rheault household but we do have a fun weekend planned. Tonight Luke has his bowling league, tomorrow night we are having a birthday game night for my cousin Sumer, and then Sunday I am trying a new recipe for the blog. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! 🙂

Favorite Sip: How pretty are these Raspberry Pink Champagne Floats? Give me sorbet with champagne any day.

Favorite Photography Trick: There are so many things you can do with a good camera. After taking some pictures of a recipe I made the other day I realized I want to take some online classes to learn more about how to take great pictures. This tutorial, How to Write with Sparklers, is very, very cool.

Favorite DIY: I love a cute bookmark, I think I have about 20 of them. These yarn ball bookmarks are adorable and would make a nice gift for anyone who likes to read.

Favorite Manicure:  People who are able to do nail art are so talented. I can barely paint the nails on my right hand so the fact that they can do things that are so intricate is very impressive to me. This mermaid manicure is so cute and perfect to do before a trip to Disney.

Favorite Sweet Treat: Glazed Apple Fritters….enough said.

Favorite Insta-find: My sister-in-law was the one who told me about Crazy Jewish Mom on Instagram and I am so glad that she did. The account is run by Kate and it consists of texts between herself and her mom. Her mother is so hilarious and sometimes it is hard to believe she isn’t playing a character. Do yourself a favor and spend some time going through her posts. I promise you will laugh out loud.

Favorite Wedges: Back in the day I was a shoe hoarder. I have boxes and boxes of shoes, most of which I don’t wear but I can’t seem to get rid of. I have a Pinterest board dedicated to just shoes. My favorite type, besides the trusty flip flop, are wedges. These Steve Madden “Winonna” wedges are beyond adorable. I need them now!

Favorite Kitchen Must Have: There have been plenty of times when I have found a recipe online I wanted to try so I had to take my laptop into the kitchen to follow the instructions. Well the laptop is bulky and I have a tiny kitchen, not to mention the battery life on it is awful. I saw this holder on Etsy that easily attaches to a cabinet and can be adjusted to fit most tablets/smartphones. Perfect for cooks who always use recipes like I do.

Favorite Bet Payoff: Going into Super Bowl LI, on the heels of an Atlanta-area gas station banning the sale of Sam Adams beer, a pair of breweries decided to make a wager. If the Falcons won, Samuel Adams Brewery would have to make a “Dirty Bird” beer. If the Patriots won, Sweetwater Brewing out of Atlanta would have to make a Patriots pale ale. As we know the Patriots came back to win. Below is the payoff from Sweetwater Brewing and the result is just too good.

Favorite Fashion: Last Sunday was the Grammy awards so it is time for my favorite fashions for the night. Adele can do no wrong in my eyes so of course she would be in my top 4. Jennifer Lopez always looks flawless (and I am convinced she doesn’t age.) Demi is able to make a see through dress sexy instead of “too much.” Lastly, I watch all the Real Housewives shows and Erika Jayne is one of my favorites and I thought she looked gorgeous.
