Friday Favorites

I am on a computer for the majority of the day so I am always saving things on Facebook, pinning things to Pinterest, searching for things on Amazon, etc. I have also seen quite a few blogs that do a weekly “favorites” post and they always introduce me to things I enjoy; whether it’s a good article to read, something to buy, a funny video to watch, or a recipe to try. I am hoping you enjoy these “Friday Favorites” as much as I do!

Favorite Appetizer: Hot Gruyere & White Wine Chicken Dip. I made this for Christmas Day last year and oh my goodness,  I could have eaten the entire skillet myself. I love myself a good dip and this is one of the best dips I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and make this now!

Favorite Reading Spot: I have wanted a hammock for our porch so I have a comfy place outdoors to read. We have a smaller porch so I was looking to get one to sit in rather than lie down. I found one at Target but then I saw this one on Etsy and now I want this one and this one only. The price tag is steep but I mean how cute it is?? If anyone is feeling generous I would like it in yellow 🙂

Favorite Thing on Television: If you haven’t seen the TV show This is Us yet, what are you waiting for??? When the show Parenthood had it series finale it left a little hole in my heart but This is Us has filled it up. Every episode is very well done and tugs at your heartstrings in all the right ways. It just got renewed for TWO more seasons so wooohooo. You can watch it Tuesday nights at 9 pm on NBC and catch up with it on Hulu.

Favorite Photography Tips: I got a professional camera for my birthday years ago and I don’t use it nearly enough. The extent of my skills is to point & click. My goal this year is to learn more about photography and some tips/tricks to taking great pictures. I saw this article titled “16 Camera Hacks to Take Flawless Pictures” on Facebook and I thought some of the tricks were pretty cool.

Favorite Christmas Gift: For Christmas this year my mom got me this adorable Hello Sunshine weekender tote and I am in love. Right now it is temporarily sold out on the website but there is another tote that says “Daydream Believer” that is also very, very cute. You can also sign up to get a notification when the “Hello Sunshine” tote is available again.

Favorite Cocktail: I LOVE a good Lemon Drop Martini! Some places make them too sweet, some too sour, but when you get one just right it is heaven and a sugar rim is a must. My husband makes a pretty darn good one so I am a lucky girl.

Favorite Place: I absolutely love libraries and when I saw this article on Facebook, “The Most Beautiful Library in Every US State,” it made me want to visit every single one. I love the look of traditional libraries but there are some very cool looking modern libraries around the US. Locally the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach is a very nice one although the ones in this article are just so beautiful. Anyone want to take a tour of US libraries with me?

Favorite Current Obsession: Leggings! I never thought I would be a person to wear leggings. I always thought they were cute but a little too body hugging for my taste. Right before Christmas I saw the cutest Christmas leggings and I thought why not. I bought them with a long shirt so that my behind was covered and after I put them on I was converted. Since then I have discovered Lularoe because my friend Kiersten is a consultant for them. They have adorable patterns and they are so soft & comfy. Valentine’s Leggings

Favorite Game: Disney Emoji Blitz….I love everything Disney and the kid in me loves this game. You play levels & do challenges to earn Disney emojis. You can then use those in text messages and they are so, so cute!

Favorite Award Show Fashion: Tis that time of year for award shows!! I love award shows; The Golden Globes, The People’s Choice Awards, The Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, The Grammys, The Academy Awards just to name a few. Wednesday night was The People’s Choice Awards and one of the best part of the shows is seeing all the fashion.
