Synopsis:
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is the best chronicle of drug-soaked, addle-brained, rollicking good times ever committed to the printed page. It is also the tale of a long weekend road trip that has gone down in the annals of American pop culture as one of the strangest journeys ever undertaken.

Review:
Unpopular opinion alert…I could not stand this book! Maybe because it was written before my time, maybe because I have never been to Las Vegas, or maybe because I have never done drugs but man this book was painful to read! I am glad it was only 202 pages or else I may have not finished it. As it went on it got a touch better but I never started to enjoy it. I found the characters to be disgusting humans and I am not usually someone who is easily offended or judgy. This book made me be both of those things. People seem to love this book and maybe they are seeing something I just didn’t. I would be interested in seeing the movie though. Maybe that would explain some things to me that I just didn’t understand while reading. We shall see. I have a feeling that if I had ever done acid then I would have loved this book. HA! Also I put the book as fiction but I have read places that is it based on fact so I am not really sure what the actual genre would be considered.
