Home Love My 35th Birthday Celebration

My 35th Birthday Celebration

by Kristeena

I turned 35 on July 20th and I have to say this was one of the best birthdays. I am not big on birthdays yet somehow I got to have three different birthday days of fun! It started Sunday with the gift my husband got me…tickets to see Boyz II Men, Paula Abdul, & New Kids on the Block. He wasn’t able to go with me so he elected my friend Jen as my partner in crime. Last minute my mom & grandma decided to go with us so they could gamble while we went to the concert. We got down there early for dinner and then had a great time at the concert. I have been a Blockhead since I was about 10 years ago and I got to go backstage at my first NKOTB concert. I have seen them 4 times total and they are always so good. They sang all my favorite throwback songs. It was a blast!

Jen made our awesome shirts!

I took my birthday and Friday off from work so my office celebrated my birthday on Wednesday by decorating my desk, making my favorite brownies, and spoiling me with awesome gifts. On Thursday a family friend, Kelley, took me to lunch at Okeechobee Steakhouse and it was yummy. I had a Gorgonzola salad with sliced sirloin. I had never been there and it has such an old-timey feel that I loved! Thursday night we had a birthday celebration for myself and my grandma (her birthday is the day after mine) at my mom’s with family. We ordered Chinese, had some birthday cake, opened some presents, and watched the little ones put on dance performances for everyone. It was fun as time with family always is 🙂

The birthday girls 🙂

Friday Luke, Paige, Sunny, and I went to the Rapids Water Park. Sunny was a big chicken and did NOT want to go down any slides, not even the smallest ones. She sure did love the lazy river & wave pool though. We got her to go down some slides by telling her she had to earn tickets to go back into the lazy river. We are geniuses, lol. I realized that day that I don’t need to go on the big rides anymore, I am perfectly happy floating along the lazy river. Our day got cut short by the daily afternoon storms we have been having here in Florida lately. From there we went home, took a quick nap, then went out to dinner with dad at Cooper’s Hawk, which was yummy as always. I had a FANTASTIC birthday, got very spoiled, and felt all the love. Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday and to those that celebrated with me!!! Turning 35 wasn’t so bad 🙂
