I don’t know about you but I am so excited it is the weekend! This has been a crazy week at work so I am looking forward to enjoying the next two days off. On Wednesday Luke and I celebrate our “the day we met” anniversary; you can read all about our bingo date here. As of now we don’t have any plans for Saturday but I am sure Sunday we will be finding a Superbowl party to go to. What is your favorite Superbowl snack?
Favorite Quick Weeknight Dinner: I don’t know about you but the last thing I want to do is spend hours in the kitchen making dinner after working all day. I love when I can find a recipe that is quick, easy, & yummy all at the same time. I found this 30-Minute Skillet Lasagna and thought it was the perfect twist on traditional lasagna and 30 minutes? Yes please!
Favorite Award Show Fashion: This past Sunday were the SAG Awards, which is probably my favorite award show. Let’s face it we watch award shows for the categories featuring the actors/actresses so having an award show where all the categories are about the actors are the most fun to watch. I picked my top four looks but if you would like to see all the looks of the night you can go here.
Favorite Funny: Growing up I loved comics, from the strips in the newspaper to Archie comic books. I saw this post on Facebook and found it to not only be funny but to be spot on. I related to pretty much every single on of these. Aren’t relationships great?! 🙂
Favorite Frozen Treat: I think we can all agree that ice cream is one of the tastiest things on the planet and one of the best brands is Ben & Jerry’s. They have so many yummy, creative flavors and now they have made 4 of their flavors into ice cream sandwiches with a crunchy chocolate outside. You can get them in Americone Dream (my fave), Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Vanilla Peanut Butter Cup.
Favorite Subscription: In today’s day and age one of the most popular things are subscriptions services for anything from clothes to books to food and everything in between. I decided to try Graze because I can never find snacks that I enjoy and are healthy but with Graze there are so many options that are yummy. You can go through all their snacks and pick what you would want to try and then rate them so they know what to send you a second time. There is a ton of options not only of snacks but of different subscriptions. I get a box every 2 weeks. If you would like to try you can use this code: V39GPD2HP. That gives you the 1st and 5th box free.
Favorite Reading Nook: If I ever get the chance to build my dream home I will 100% give myself a cozy reading nook. There are so many different ways to make one, from using an empty closet, to building one around a window seat. Pinterest has a ton of ideas and I literally love every single one!
Favorite Relaxing Hobby: In the past couple years adult coloring has become all the rage. There are so many different types of coloring books geared to adults but my favorite are the books by Johanna Basford. Her illustrations are intricate and so beautiful. She has 5 books total: Secret Garden, Enchanted Forest, Lost Ocean, Magical Jungle, & Johanna’s Christmas. I have two of them and I absolutely love them.
Favorite Superbowl Dish: One of my favorite things about Superbowl parties are the snacks. My go to dish is a Buffalo Chicken Dip that is always a hit. Luke entered it in a “Best Superbowl Dish” contest on the radio a few years back and it got first place. It’s not the prettiest but it sure is delicious!!
